Bourne-based home builder Larkfleet Homes has kindly donated £1,000 to the College. The money has been used to buy two Visualisers for use by students and staff.

A Visualiser is a camera on a flexible mounting which can be plugged into data projectors. This allows images of books, students’ work and small demonstrations to be projected onto a large screen. The images can be recorded and saved for later use. In addition the images can be annotated, zoomed in and used in imaginative ways to enhance the visual impact of material and prompt discussion and evaluation amongst the students.
One of the Visualisers will be located in the English Faculty and one in the Central Resources for use by staff and students of all ages around the College.

Headteacher, Mike Sandeman commented: “We are delighted to accept Larkfleet Homes’ generous donation that will further enhance our educational facilities. It is great to see investment by local businesses into nearby communities.”

As a further gesture, Larkfleet Homes would like to offer all parents of students at Arthur Mellows Village College £2,000 discount on the price of a Larkfleet property. Please visit www.larkfleethomes.co.uk to view all current developments.

Larkfleet Homes’ development at Parsons Prospect on Thorney Road in Eye near Peterborough currently has two, three and four bedroom homes available, starting from £147,995, (before discount).

The high standard of environmental construction of Larkfleet’s properties allows householders to save up to £600 a year in energy bills. With rising energy costs a new Larkfleet Homes will continue to save you money year on year.
