A Level Results – Summer 2011

Excellent A Level results have been achieved by our Year 13 students this year at Arthur Mellows Village College with a 99% pass rate at A2 for A* to E grades.  75% of students achieved A* to C grades.  Three students achieved outstanding results and gained places at the University of Cambridge.

These excellent results demonstrate real commitment and character from the students and are a tribute to the College staff who have steered our students to such resounding success.  The high standard of grades achieved means that our students have once again been successful in gaining University places.  We would like to highlight the particular achievement of the following students who all achieved 3 or more A or A* grades at A2:

***Kezia Burkett has been successful in securing her place at Robinson College, Cambridge to read Geography.  She achieved 4 A* grades and 1 A grade at A Level plus an A* grade for her Extended Project Qualification.

***Joanna Roden has been successful in securing her place at Selwyn College, Cambridge to read History.  She achieved 1 A* grade and 2 A grades at A Level plus an A* grade for her Extended Project Qualification.

***Anthony Dinatale has been successful in securing his place at Magdalene College, Cambridge to read English.  He achieved 1 A* grade and 2 A grades.

Year 12 students also obtained their AS results many of which were outstanding with five students achieving three or more A grades at AS as follows:

Many other students also gained most creditable results, which brings a successful conclusion to their education at Arthur Mellows Village College.
