Record Breaking A Level Results

A Level Results - Summer 2014

Record breaking A Level results have been achieved by our Year 13 students this year at Arthur Mellows Village College with a 99.5% pass rate at A2 for A* to E grades.  54% of students achieved A* to B grades, 83% achieved A* to C grades.

These excellent results demonstrate real commitment and character from the students and are a tribute to the College staff who have steered our students to such resounding success.  The high standard of grades achieved means that our students have once again been successful in gaining University places.

There were several notable individual achievements, including Chris Formby who gained 3 A* grades, Matthew Hawkins, Hebe Walton and Joe Roberts who achieved 2 A* and an A grade and more than ten other students who achieved 3 A* or A grades.

Three students, Shannon Ruff, Matt Smith and Rebecca Field, have all gained the grades they needed to go on to study Medicine at University and Emma Watts has been accepted to study Earth Sciences at St Anne’s College, Oxford.

Many other students also gained most creditable results, which brings a successful conclusion to their education at Arthur Mellows Village College.
